AASHTO T 240-06 is identical to ASTM D2872-04 except provisions specified in this document.
This test is used to measure the effect of heat and air on a moving film of semi-solid asphalt materials. The effects of this treatment are determined from measurements of the properties of the asphalt before and after the test.
